Patients with chronic illnesses in Nakuru County will be supported by the County Government.
This is through their formation support groups.
A promise that Governor Susan Kihika made to organize patients with chronic illnesses into support groups is now a reality.
Already the County has operationalized 16 functional Primary Care Networks (PCNs), streamlining access to drugs and services.
These PCNs are run by Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) who conduct regular outreach in the community, forming various support groups to help patients with better access to services and management.
The County Secretary and Head of Public Service, Dr. Samuel Mwaura, recently held a progress review meeting with the teams in Bahati and Gilgil Sub-Counties.
This initiative is greatly benefiting Nakuru residents by ensuring consistent access to necessary healthcare, improving patient support, and enhancing overall community health.
