Nakuru Lawmakers back effective, fair revenue allocation formula for counties

Two Nakuru Jubilee Lawmakers have called on Senators to put aside their political differences and adopt the third basis formula for effective sharing  of revenue among counties. Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Bahati Member of Parliament Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri while lauding the formula said it will address the challenges that counties have been facing. The failure by Senate on Thursday to adopt the third basis formula for sharing revenue among counties has elicited mixed reactions among leaders and civil society groups in Nakuru County. Residents of Karuswa in Dundori Ward of Nakuru County will now have water supply thanks to Menengai Community Water Project. The locals majority of who leave on the upper end of Kirima Village have not been able to access the services since 1965.
