The dispute had led to the closure of the facility in January 2024.

In the Judgement delivered by Justice Mugo Kamau, the Court ordered the Nakuru County Government to vacate the disputed property and withdraw its security officers stationed at the premises.

The Judgment comes more than two years after the county government took control of the hospital on January 23, 2024, following allegations that the institution’s management had irregularly secured a 50-year extension of its land lease.

The hospital’s management moved to court challenging the county’s actions in court, seeking recognition of its ownership of the land and orders restraining the county government and other parties from interfering with its operations.

Orders that were granted by the Court sitting in Olkalou, Nyandarua County.
