
24 crime scene investigators drawn from the Bomb Disposal Unit and CSI services have commenced a two-week training on investigating terrorist crime scenes.
The training which is sponsored by the US Embassy in Kenya through the Anti-Terrorism Assistance program aims to empower the forensic team with requisite skills necessary for processing terrorist crime scenes using modern-day technology.
Officiating the course opening at the National Criminal Investigations Academy, the Director, Investigations Bureau Mr Abdallah Komesha called upon the forensic team to buckle down for the high level intensive training, noting that the US government had dispatched highly skilled facilitators to train them.
