Former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru on Wednesday got emotional and shed tears while addressing press after police stormed her Jesus Is Alive Ministries Church.
What followed was the church being demolished.
During the incident, Bishop Wanjiru was injured after she was roughed up by unknown individuals.
Wanjiru was admitted in hospital where she was treated and discharged.
It is not clear why the Church was demolished.
However, sources have it that the land on which the church sits on belong to Kenya Railways.
Bishop Wanjiru who addressed press just some minutes after the incident, faulted the Kenya Kwanza government.
According to her, the government which she campaigned for, has a hand in the whole issue.
“The devil is a liar, I can’t believe the Kenya Kwanza Government is doing this to me yet I campaigned for it. I am the one who gave UDA a vision for Nairobi, today our Church is full of police and they are all armed,” she said as she shed tears.
She called on President William Ruto and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja to have respect for God.
