Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has rolled out the 3rd Phase of Free Quality Seeds Distribution to improve food production.
Over 20,000 small scale farmers in Trans Nzoia will benefit from the program.
According to Natembeya, this will go long way in improving food production and strides towards zero hunger in Trans Nzoia County.
“We want our county to double production so that we can have plenty towards zero hunger,” he said.
The program is under the ministry of Agriculture ,Trans Nzoia County CECM Phanice Khatundi and Chief officer Sammy Sichangi.
Natembeya started the program in 2022 when the 1st phase was rolled out.
The 2nd phase was in 2023.
1st and 2nd phases were in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
