Aspirants contesting various seats on UDA ticket in Nakuru County have been urged to remain focused and think of the party’s agenda.
The call was made by Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika during a consultative meeting with UDA aspirants.
She urged the aspirants to rally voters across Nakuru County behind UDA, its candidates, and President William Ruto.
Kihika who will be defending her gubernatorial seat, emphasized the need for peaceful campaigns, intensified grassroots mobilization, avoidance of inter-party confrontations, increased party visibility at the grassroots, leveraging the government’s development record, and advancing the Kenya Kwanza agenda.
She assured the aspirants of confidence in securing victory in the next elections and reaffirmed commitment to creating an enabling environment for all candidates to engage voters and popularize their ideas.
During the meeting, Kihika also addressed their concerns regarding free and fair party nominations, provision of party merchandise, platforms to articulate and sell their ideas to voters, the absence of zoning, and the facilitation of necessary support to strengthen UDA’s grassroots presence and popularity across Nakuru County.
The meeting comes barely days to Party’s upcoming electoral activities.
The engagement forms part of an ongoing caucusing effort aimed at fostering cohesion among Party members, strengthening teamwork, and aligning aspirants behind a shared vision.
Kihika who chaired the meeting urged aspirants to place the Party’s collective success above individual ambition as preparations for the electoral process gather pace.
The meeting was also graced by Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria, Nominated MCA Hassan Duale, UDA National Executive Committee (NEC) Member and Members of the County Assembly (MCAs).
