Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has revealed that just like President William Ruto, she will be defending her seat come 2027.
Kihika spoke on Friday August 1, 2025 in Njoro during National Government’s economic empowerment program that was graced by Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki.
She called on Nakuru residents to continue supporting her administration and even give her a second term.
While pointing out the unfortunate culture in Nakuru where governors have always been voted in once, the jovial wooing Kihika urged Nakuru residents to consider her come 2027 and make history for electing female governor for two terms.
She noted that her development agenda for Nakuru residents from Education sector, Agriculture, and Health sectors as well infrastructure is very clear and speaks for itself.
It is on this basis that Governor vowed to continue working closely with National Government on various projects that touch on the very lives of citizens.
“When I look around from Naivasha, Nakuru West, Nakuru East and even Njoro I see several leaders who have served more than a term and that is why I’m saying this time round even for Governor let’s support my Administration for and give a second term so that we can continue with the plan we have for Nakuru residents,” stated Kihika.
It should be noted that Governor Kihika recently commenced the engagement with Nakuru MPs and MCAs, a move that political pundits argue that it is meant to cement her support in constituencies and Wards.
The first time female governor in history of Nakuru County is also working closely with the Governor’s Service Delivery and Monitoring unit that she created to ensure service delivery.
In addition, Governor Kihika has also placed in place grassroot representatives commonly known as Governor Mashinani reps who give her updates on every aspect of development projects.
