CS Chelugui lauds role played by KFA in matters food security

The Kenya Farmers Association (KFA) plays a key role in the scaling up of national food security and agricultural development by specifically connecting our farmers to genuine and pocket friendly farm inputs.

Co-operatives Cabinet Secretary, Simon Chelugui says the sees KFA as a key partner particularly for the cooperatives sub-sector which is one of the pillars of the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

“Therefore, our dream is to see KFA and similar associations reclaiming its former glory,” he stated.

The CS was speaking on June 6, 2024 when he was honoured to receive the Board of Directors and the Management of KFA led by Chairman Richard Mibei and Managing Director Symon Cherongony who paid him a courtesy call.

During the meeting, they deliberated and explored areas of partnership and collaboration.

“Our common interest is uplifting the status of our farmers by making farming a truly profitable venture,” he said.
