Bahati MP Irene Njoki has called for speedy investigations into an incident in which a Form 2 student was brutally murdered.

 

While condemning the incident, MP Njoki reiterated that security of learners is paramount.

 

“I strongly condemn the tragic killing of Beauty Njoki Maina, a Form 2 student at St. John Secondary School,” she stated.

 

According to the Lawmaker, this heartbreaking incident occurred on Tuesday morning in Nyathuna Village, where njoki was brutally assaulted and her body abandoned in a nearby forest.

 

“The safety of our school-going children is non-negotiable,” she said.

 

She urged all citizens to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity or individuals in our community without delay.

 

“We cannot continue to harbour criminals in our neighborhoods. I demand our security agencies conduct a thorough investigation, leaving no stone unturned, to ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their heinous actions. My heartfelt condolences go out to Njoki’s family during this difficult time; may she rest in eternal peace,” stated the Lawmaker.
