Police officers from Solai Police Station on Friday conducted an intelligence-led operation and arrested two suspects.
The two had locked themselves in a rental room in the Energy area and were in the process of rolling cannabis sativa. They had already prepared 201 rolls.
During the operation, two individuals confronted the officers and mobilized a group, who threw stones in an effort to rescue the suspects.
They were also arrested and will face charges of obstructing police officers in the course of their duty and inciting the public against them.
All individuals were escorted to the station for processing and subsequent arraignment in court. The evidence was secured in the same facility.
