Presidential aspirant Patrick Osoi has issued a strongly-worded statement on the way forward for Kenyan as a country.
Addressing press in Nakuru on SabaSaba Day, he called on compatriots never to give up.
The Politician who terms himself as the 6th President, noted that before independence, youth stood up against colonialism through Mau Mau uprising.
After independence, he pointed out that a second liberation including the likes of James Orengo, Kiraitu Murungi and Raila Odinga among many others stood up against single party system.
According to Osoi, third liberation is now coming up in Kenya through GenZs.
“They are standing firm and refusing to be silenced by fear, bullets or abductions. Our GenZs have found the rot and are sounding an alarm towards ending corruption, and e sueing the right to protest without being killed,” he stated.
The youthful Presidential aspirant Osoi was categorical that time is now for government to stop wasteful spending and corruption, but rather focus on empowering youth through grants for innovation support.
He added that, transparency and accountability governance and equal access to opportunities, tenders should not be based on tribalism or connections.
Civic dialogue is an area that he also advised the government to focus on and ensure that the security agencies protect the youth and not kill them.
“If we close all the democratic avenues the youth will find other avenues some good and some dangerous. We urge the police and all security agencies to be the shield and not the sword. Our leadership should offer direction and dialogue. Kenya belongs to all of us, and we are born here, we shall live here and we shall fix it here even if it means dying for that which is right. We will not be silenced not today, not ever because a drum that is not beaten will not score the people to dance,” he stated.
The Politician added that SabaSaba is now a movement moving forward.
He called on Bodaboda operators and mama mbogas to also stand up and ensure they are part of forming a government.
It should be noted that Patrick Osoi the 6th is among those who attended the burial of Albert Ojwang who lost his life in the hands of police.
He has been making visits to various counties among them Homabay, Bungoma and Kakamega meeting various groups who have interest in transformation of the country.
