The long wait for Title Deed for Mutukanio Farmers Company Ltd will be a thing of past
This is after Governor Susan Kihika stepped in to ensure they get their title Deed.
The Governor on Wednesday October 30, 2024 joined thousands of shareholders of Mutukanio Farmers Company Limited after a special General Meeting at Kiptangwanyi, Elementaita, Gilgil Sub County to find a solution to their five decade search for title deeds.
According to Kihika, with the support of Lands PS Nixon Korir, the members of Mutukanio Farmers Company Ltd; Kiambogo Settlement Scheme & Jogoo Game are now happy because their long search for titles will soon come to an end.
“I have instructed Lands CEC together with their chairmen to lead the process of getting titles for the shareholders,” stated Kihika.
The county boss assured the shareholders that the accumulated Settlement Trust Fund interest and any rates payable to the County Government of Nakuru will be waived for Kiambogo settlement schemes.
The Governor added that Title Deeds for 12 schools in the area have already been processed by the County Government and will be handed to them soon.
“I am determined to solve the title deed issues in Kiptangwanyi once and for all. It’s especially close to my heart as the settlement was done by Hon Kihika Kimani back in the early seventies making it dear to my heart,” stated Kihika.
I promised to upgrade Kiptangwanyi Health Centre to a Level 4 Hospital and used the occasion to enlighten residents that prescription drugs for diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure are only available in Level 4 Hospitals and the Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital and not at dispensaries or Health Centers.
I highlighted projects we are undertaking in Elementaita Ward among them construction and equipping of ECDE centres, last mile distribution of fertilizers, murraming and grading of roads under the Imarisha barabara Program, distribution of avocado seedlings and construction of the Maternity wing at the Kiptangwanyi Health Center in partnership with World Vision, and the sinking and equipping of boreholes across the ward.
