Governor Susan Kihika opens new revenue office in Kiptangwanyi

To ensure easy revenue remittance for residents of Kiptangwanyi in Elementaita, Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika officially opened a new administration block and revenue office in Kiptangwanyi, Elementaita, within Gilgil Sub-County on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

The move aims to decentralize essential services for residents.

In addition, the facility seeks to enhance access to government services, promoting efficiency and convenience.

Governor Kihika highlighted that previously, residents had to travel long distances, incurring time and financial burdens to access County services.

“With the new block in place, residents can now receive prompt assistance from on-site County administrators, addressing their concerns locally,” stated Kihika.

During the visit, the Governor also met with stakeholders of Kiptangwanyi Farmers Company, addressing their five-decade struggle for title deeds.

She assured them that the process is nearing a positive resolution with the support of Lands Principal Secretary Nixon Korir.

Lands CECM John Kihagi, alongside the company chairman, will oversee the process. The governor will announce the County’s decision to waive accumulated Settlement Fund Trustee interest and outstanding rates for Kiambogo settlement schemes.

Additionally, Kihika revealed that title deeds for 12 schools in the area will be processed, reaffirming her administration’s commitment to resolving land issues comprehensively.

She further announced plans to upgrade Kiptangwanyi Health Centre to a Level 4 Hospital, ensuring improved healthcare services for the community.

Governor Kihika also outlined ongoing development projects in Elementaita Ward, including the construction and equipping of ECDE centres, last-mile fertilizer distribution, provision of avocado seedlings, road murraming and grading through the Imarisha Barabara Program, and the establishment of dispensaries.

The event was also graced by Deputy Governor David Kones, County Secretary Samuel Mwaura, Chief of Staff Peter Ketienya, CECs, COs, MCAs from Elementaita and Murindat, and Naivasha Land Registrar Hilda Karani.
