Nakuru Woman Rep Aspirant on DCP ticket Asumpta Wangui has objected what she terms as unauthorized inclusion of her name in the provisional registration list of the Movement United for Super Action(MUSA) party.
This follows a notice issued by Office of the Registrar of Political Parties(ORPP).
“I am writing to formally object and respond to the notice issued by the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) regarding the proposed provisional registration of the political entity known as the Movement United for Super Action (MUSA). It has come to my attention that the published document erroneously lists my name, Muiruri Assumpta Wangui, as the number seven founding member of the aforementioned party,” she stated.
According to Asumpta, the inclusion of her name is entirely fraudulent, unauthorized, and made without her knowledge or consent, as she am not a member, associate, or founder of MUSA.
She went ahead to clarify that she is a fully registered, loyal member of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).
“My political alignment, principles, and democratic values are strictly and uniquely anchored within the DCP. Furthermore, I am a declared and active aspirant vying for the 2027 Woman Representative seat under the clear ticket and platform of the DCP,” she maintained.
The unauthorized attachment of her identity to a different political outfit, she says is a severe misrepresentation that aims to create unnecessary confusion among her supporters, the electorate, and her active party leadership.
Asumpta added that the provisional registration application reference dates back to the year 2021, hence citing or reviving an outdated administrative application from five years ago under the current political landscape is highly misleading to the public and regulatory bodies alike.
“Therefore, I completely dismiss the validity of the said list in its entirety and reject any historical or active association with the proposed provisional registration of MUSA,” she said.
The Nakuru County Woman Rep Aspirant on DCP ticket has urged the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) to immediately exercise its administrative mandates to rectify this error, remove her name from the MUSA application, and ensure their records accurately reflect her exclusive alignment with the DCP.
She maintained that her energy and focus remain completely dedicated to serving the citizens of Nakuru County and Kenya in general while building the grassroots support necessary to win the 2027 General Elections under the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).
