Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has been feted for her progressive performance.
The Lawmaker has received Champions of Progress Award 2026 from Swiss Poll International for her outstanding performance as the Member of Parliament for Bahati Constituency.
In a press release, MP Njoki expressed her gratitude for the Award.
“Deeply honoured to receive the Champions of Progress Award 2026 from Swiss Poll International for outstanding performance as the Member of Parliament for Bahati Constituency,” she said.
She termed this recognition as special because Bahati is the only constituency from Nakuru County on the national list, and she is the only first-term woman MP recognized.
The Lawmaker went ahead to highlight some of the gaps that she has addressed since she took over Leadership mantle.
She pointed out that in 2022, her regime took over with major gaps in tarmac roads, modern markets, Last Mile electricity and bursary support.
However, they chose not to complain about the disadvantage; but focused on closing the gap as their mission.
“Today, the progress is being recognised nationally and internationally,” she said.
According to MP Njoki, the award belongs to the people of Bahati who she says have come far, and not done yet.
It should be noted that MP Njoki was elected on Jubilee Party ticket in 2022 trouncing the incumbent Kimani Ngunjiri.
