Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama has advised Government to look for alternative space for traders operating on Kenya Power, Kenya Pipeline way leave in Nakuru West.
The MP spoke when he was accompanied by the Nakuru County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara, the County Executive Committee Member for Trade Stephen Kuria, senior officers from Kenya Pipeline, Kenya Power, and NGAO in an engagement with traders operating along the Kenya Pipeline and Kenya Power wayleave areas in Ponda Mali, Weavers, and Soko Mjinga stretches.
During the discussions, the leadersĀ acknowledged the importance of safeguarding public infrastructure while ensuring the livelihoods of the traders are protected.
“As a result, we reached a consensus that the government should identify and secure alternative spaces for the affected traders before initiating any relocation measures,” he stated.
