Veteran politician, son of Mulembe Nation and Ol-karia Ward MCA Peter Palang’a has been endorsed the interim Chairperson of the Luhya Community in Nakuru County.
He will work closely with other elected leaders from the community in Nakuru; MCA Neto Sakwa(Kivumbini Ward) and MCA Fadhili Msuri(Biashara Ward) in championing for the welfare of members of the Luhya Community in Nakuru County.
Palang’a says the move is key in ensuring unity and structured way of advocating for issues affecting Luhya Community in Nakuru.
He vowed to ensure unity, owing to the fact there have been factions in the past, making it difficult for the community to bargain for their share of the county cake and any other opportunities that arise.
“We have many opportunities in Nakuru County which as a community we need to tap into,” he said.
On his part MCA Neto Sakwa noted that the journey of unity and prosperity for Mulembe Nation in Nakuru has just but started.
Sakwa called on the Luhya Community members in Nakuru to work closely with the interim Chairperson and elected leaders towards achieving key goals.
“We need this unity like yesterday, moving forward let us work together as a community,” said Sakwa.
The endorsement of Palang’a as the interim Chairperson of Luhya Community in Nakuru County took place on Saturday March 2, 2024 and was attended by leaders and representatives from various sub-counties of Nakuru.
Palang’a will serve in the position until a time when elections shall be held.
