Nakuru East Ward MCA Anthony Kanyere alias Geru has cleared the air on the ongoing project at Muguga Dispensary Grounds in Nakuru East Ward.
The ongoing construction of Green House project at the facility had elicited mixed reactions with a section of residents up in arms claiming the project had not included locals through public participation.
However the area MCA refuted the claims by a section of residents.
According to the first time serving MCA, the project is World Bank funded under the Financing Locally-led Climate Action Program(FLLOCA).
“This is a FLLOCA project being implemented in a hospital land nothing sinister,” he stated.
The MCA also refuted claims relating to grabbed land.
It will be recalled that on Friday April 4, 2025, a section of locals wanted to hold peaceful demonstrations at the Muguga Dispensary over the matter.
They claimed the construction of Green House in the public dispensary without public participation was wrong.
This, even as the Ward Climate Change Committee maintained that the project had been approved by the county.
