Nakuru’s 2027 Senatorial aspirant Dr. Peter Mbae has strongly condemned the chaos that erupted at a church in Mwiki Kasarani Nairobi.
The chaos erupted at PCEA Mwiki where former DP Rigathi Gachagua and other guests were for a Sunday service.
The chaos are said to have been caused by people believed to be goons who stormed the church.
They caused chaos and disrupted the church service.
The occurence left a number of congregants injured, and cars belonging to the former deputy president vandalized.
The police neutralized the situation, and service resumed.
Reacting to the incident, Dr. Mbae who is also Gachagua’s pointman in Nakuru and was also attending the service condemned the incident.
He pointed out that such incidents have been witnessed in the past as a means of intimidation from some quotas.
“It has come to this. Armed goons sent inside Church to disrupt Sunday service at PCEA Mwiki. Calm restored after a 20 minutes disruption, goons repulsed and service is underway. We’ve been here before. We have gone through this and we are here,” he said.
Mbae added, “Light is more powerful than darkness. Good is more powerful than evil.
God is more powerful than the devil.
It shall be well. We shall overcome.”
Mbae is also counting loss as his vehicle was among those that were damaged during the chaos.
“My vehicle was among the about ten others that had their windscreens damaged outside PCEA Mwiki Church. But we soldier on, and we shall overcome,” he stated.
