It has emerged that Nominated MCA Beth Wahito of Nyandarua County Assembly was from county budget deliberation meeting in Naivasha before she met her tragic death in Naivasha.
Her vehicle is said to have rammed into a Nairobi-bound bus leading to her death.
Nyandarua County Assembly Speaker Wachira Waiganjo, revealed that they had left a meeting on Nyandarua County Budget at around 10pm and that the Nominated was headed home when the tragic accident happened around 11pm claiming her life.
Speaker Waiganjo termed the deceased a hardworking MCA who until her death was serving as the Vice Chair Health Committee.
She was serving her third term having served in the defunct County Council as a councillor.
The Nyandarua County Assembly Speaker maintained that the MCA was very key in matters budget process die to her seniority having served longer.
He added that as County Assembly of Nyandarua, they will work closely with the family towards preparations for the burial of their colleague.
“As Nyandarua County Assembly we are mourning our colleague., we shall work closely with the family towards burial preparations. In consultations with the family, we have transfered body to Umash for proper preservation. We urge Nyandarua residents to be patient and stand with the family during this difficult time,” he stated.
The Nyandarua County Assembly Speaker made the remarks at Umash Funeral Home Nakuru where the body of the deceased is lying as preparations for burial commences.
