It has been revealed that the Nyandarua County Assembly Nominated MCA Beth Wahito was related to former Nakuru Speaker Joel Maina Kairu.
The MCA lost her life through a tragic road accident as she was leaving a budget deliberation meeting in Naivasha.
Speaking at Umash Funeral Home on Sunday when he joined members of the County Assembly of Nyandarua, Kairu revealed that the deceased is a cousin.
That they recently had a family meeting in Ngorika, but the deceased sent an apology as she was engaged in other official duties.
“We are saddened by her death. She is my cousin and Kairu family we are saddened by the death,” he stated.
Kairu also used the moment to thank the MCAs and the entire county Assembly of Nyandarua for the role played since the death occured.
According to Muchiri Njoroge who is a brother to the deceased, termed the death as a great blow to the family.
He added that as a family, they have agreed to have postmortem done and wait for the pathologist’s report.
“We used to communicate a lot and even before the tragic accident we had shared and she told me she was in a meeting on matters budget. It’s so unfortunate that we have lost her,” stated the brother.
