Mama Alice Ruto was on Saturday September 21 laid to rest at Keringet, Kuresoi South in Nakuru County.
The late was the wife to the current Political Advisor Nakuru County Government Joseph Kibore Ruto.
Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika led other leaders in paying last respect to Mama Alice Ruto in Pombo Village, Keringet Ward, Kuresoi South Sub-county.
Speaking during the ceremony, Governor Kihika described Mama Alice as a devoted Christian, a dedicated educator, and a valued member of the community, whose legacy will be fondly remembered.
Kihika noted that the tributes delivered during the service reflected the profound love and respect Mama Alice had earned.
She acknowledged Mama Alice’s ability to unite leaders from across the nation and praised her and Joseph Kibore as exemplary parents who raised disciplined children.
The Governor expressed her solidarity with Kibore and his family during this challenging time.
Governor Kihika further emphasized the county’s commitment to addressing important issues such as lifting land caveats, improving roads, equipping hospitals, implementing water projects, and continuing the ECDE feeding program and recruitment efforts of teachers.
The service was also attended by among others Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, Nakuru Deputy Governor David Kones, former Nakuru Governors Kinuthia Mbugua and Lee Kinyanjui, MPs Joseph Tonui, Johanna Ng’eno, Liza Chelule, Senator Tabitha Karanja, Victor Koech, as well as MCAs, judicial officials, and county staff.
