KIHIKA: Boda Boda Fund to be launched in August

Nakuru County Boda Boda Fund will be launched soon.

This was revealed by Governor Susan Kihika.

She spoke on Monday when she held a preparatory meeting with a team from Kenya Commercial Bank ahead of the launch of the Fund.

According to Kihika, this is a financing initiative aimed at enabling boda boda operators to access affordable motorcycles.

The Fund is set for launch in August, with an aim to help thousands of young people in the sector acquire motorcycles through affordable deposits and manageable repayment plans.

During the meeting, Governor Kihika also received an update on the Wezesha Fund, through which more than Sh76 million has so far been disbursed to cooperative societies and community groups.

“These initiatives reflect our commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, creating opportunities, and improving livelihoods across Nakuru County,” she said.
