Save Mau Forest Initiative is set to be officially launched on June 15, 2026.
The launch will take place at 10am and will involve various activities.
According to event organizers, the initiative will involve planting of indigenous trees.
There will also be active discussions on the way forward in environmental protection, conservation and sustainable restoration efforts with the community members.
The initiative aims to restore green identity of the Mau Forest escarpment.
