Governor Kihika calls on Nakuru residents to register for UHC Program

Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has urged residents to register for Universal Health Coverage(UHC) that is to be rolled out by national government soon.

This she made in a statement on Thursday September 19, after joining her colleague Governors, Ministry of Health officials and other key stakeholders at a consultative meeting chaired by President William Ruto to finalize preparations for the UHC roll-out.

Kihika noted that counties will play a crucial role in mobilizing citizens to participate.

She assured of her commitment towards success of the program.

“Together, we are committed to ensuring the success of this landmark program that will greatly enhance healthcare services across the country. I encourage Nakuru residents and Kenyans at large to take part in the transformative Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program.

Individuals who want to register can do so via *147# or visiting www.sha.go.ke ahead of the official launch on October 1, 2024.

According to Governor Kihika, this inclusive healthcare initiative will make medical services more accessible and affordable, ensuring that every citizen benefits from quality healthcare.
