The county government of Nakuru under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika has assured residents that the construction of Olenguruone Stadium will go on up to completion.
The stadium has stalled for some time, however the assurance gives hope to football enthusiasts as well as athletes.
The move follows interventions by Governor Kihika who requested President William Ruto.
The same message was reiterated on Monday June 30, 2025 when Deputy Governor David Kones hosted a technical team from the Kenya Defense Forces.
The included project officer/architect, Civil/structural engineer, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer and Quantity Surveyors led by Major G D Roba.
The team was on a follow up meeting and site assessment in preparation for design works.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Political Advisor Office of the Governor Joseph Rutto.
