
Dandelion Africa NGO that operates in various counties among them Nakuru abs Baringo, has donated Gender Desks to various Police Stations.
The NGO has programs touching on matters health, economic empowerment of women and youth at grassroot level.
According to Executive Director Wendo Aszed, the donation of gender Desks to police stations will go a long way in addressing gender issues in both Nakuru and Baringo counties.
She added that it creates a conducive environment for the survivors of Gender-based violence as they will be able to receive timely and respectful assistance.
“Additionally, we donated gender desks to select police stations in both counties. These desks will help provide better support for survivors of gender-based violence, ensuring they receive timely and respectful assistance,” stated Wendo.
This took place as the NGO brought together key stakeholders from Baringo and Nakuru counties to learn and understand more about Dandelion Africa NGO programs, share feedback on partnerships, and explore ways to improve collaboration.
During the meeting, practical steps to strengthen the NGO’s impact were also identified.
Wendo thanked all stakeholders for their valuable feedback and commitment to Dandelion Africa’s mission!.
It should be noted that Dandelion Africa NGO has continued to collaborate with counties on matters health.
The NGO has an established Medical Centre with a modern maternity wing at Sarambei village in Rongai Subcounty of Nakuru County and also a clinic at Mogotio in Baringo County.
