Co-operatives Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui over the weekend eulogized the late Colonel Damcun Keitany as a true Patriot.
The CS spoke when he joined the family, friends, relatives and the people of Saos, Baringo County, during the burial of the late Colonel Dancun Keitany.
Col. Keitany died in a plane crash that also claimed the life of Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Francis Ogolla and eight other gallant soldiers at Sindar area, Tot Division in Elgeyo-Marakwet last week.
“It is disheartening that we lost these officers in line of duty—trying to restore normalcy in the North Rift—a big blow to the nation. Col. Keitany was a patriotic citizen and a hard working officer who served this nation diligently,” stated Chelugui.
The CS used the moment to relay his heartfelt condolences to the family of Col. Keitany, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and all those who knew him.
