Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has vowed to continue lobbying job opportunities at Menengai Geothermal power plant for her Constituents.
The Lawmaker who on Thursday October 24, 2024 joined President William Ruto, and other leaders for the launch of the 35MW Orpower 22 Geothermal Plant in Menengai, termed it significant milestone.
According to MP Njoki, this marks another step towards sustainable energy development in the country.
“In Bahati Constituency, our key focus remains on ensuring that local employment opportunities in these projects benefit our residents,” she stated.
The Legislator vowed to continue engaging with development partners to ensure that labor is sourced from the surrounding areas.
This, she said will go a long way in combating unemployment.
