As clock ticks towards August 2027 general polls, a youthful MCA aspirant in Nakuru has vowed to put people first upon his election.
Peter Mandela Chek who is eyeing the Lanet Umoja Ward in Bahati Constituency says Leadership is all about meeting the interests of the people.
Mandela who has been traversing the Ward attending different functions ranging from church to community Charity work, opines that he has a vision to see a transformed Lanet Umoja Ward.
He believes in leadership with a vision, service with a purpose.
The youthful aspirant says he is ready to put the residents first, champion for the youth empowerment while ensuring real development in the Ward.
He adds that many areas within the Ward have been forgotten in the past, but once elected in office, he will work towards addressing the same by ensuring equitable distribution of resources.
He stands out as an active community communicator and public figure in Nakuru County, currently associated with regional sociopolitical activities and youth empowerment initiatives in Lanet Umoja.
Mandela is also engaged in local philanthropic and public events, including community outreach and educational support functions.
He has frequently appealed to residents to ensure they consolidate their votes into one basket for the Ward.
This, he says will go a long way in ensuring that they get their right share from County Government allocation to Wards in terms of resources.
