Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama is a seasoned politician in Nakuru having served for three consecutive terms, a good mobilizer and a man of the people.
The Lawmaker who is now the undisputed Matiang’i pointman in Nakuru, successfully entered Nakuru Politics in 2013.
This was after boundary review that saw Nakuru Town Constituency split into two: Nakuru Town East and Nakuru Town West.
Arama won the 2013 elections on ODM ticket and defended the seat in 2017.
In 2022, the Lawmaker defended the seat on Jubilee ticket under Azimio Coalition and won.
His was of people-centred politics has earned him the title ‘Super MP’ among supporters and residents of Nakuru at large.
When former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i declared that he will be contesting Presidency come 2027, Arama stated that he will be supporting Matiang’i bid for Presidency.
The Lawmaker in a recent interview was categorical that where Matiang’i is the faction that he will be in.
And with Matiang’i having been unveiled as Jubilee Party Flag bearer, then MP Arama who is also a member of Jubilee Party qualifies as Matiang’i pointman in Nakuru County.
Arama has mastered the art of mobilizing electorates and listening to their grievances with an aim to offer solutions.
His role in Matiang’i camp in Nakuru will be key especially having in mind that Nakuru is a cosmopolitan County.
MP Arama’s good experience with the electorates is another plus for Matiang’i.
As pointman, he will play key role in mobilizing electorates in Nakuru to support the Matiang’i Presidential bid.
Arama has also had good relationship with the GenZs in Nakuru and this might be a plus to Matiang’i.
He recently told off President William Ruto over the shoot in the legs order.
According to Arama, youth should be listened to and their grievances addressed.
“I will support Matiang’i because I’m Jubilee member and he is our Presidential flagbearer,” stated Arama
