What MP Arama meant in the viral video

A section of Kenyans took an issue with Nakuru Town West Member of Parliament Samuel Arama in what the netizens claimed the Lawmaker had referred to constituents as ‘fools’ in a video that went viral.

However, FamousNakuru.co.ke has established that the content of the video that went viral had nothing to with abuse of electorates.

The fact is that the MP was addressing constituents during public participation forum on Constitutional Amendment Bill No 4 of 2025 on NG-CDF, NGAAF and Senate Oversight Fund that needs to be entrenched in the constitution.

In the video, MP Arama noted the tremendous work that NG-CDF had done in Nakuru West.

This is where the context of the video comes in where the MP maintains that he has been elected by electorates three consecutive terms since 2013.

He goes ahead to state that the three terms does not mean that his Constituents are fools, but it is because they have seen his track record in terms of development in relation to prudence use of NG-CDF funds.

It is in the same context that the MP added that with this development agenda, his constituents are in a position to elect him for a forth term if or when he decides to defend his seat.
