Sombre mood as Teret High school student who drowned in a dam is laid to rest

Sombre mood engulfed Ewaat village of Mauche Ward in Njoro Sub county on Friday March 29 as student who drowned in a dam was laid to rest.

Eulogized as vibrant Form 4 student at Teret High school, Collins Kipkoech’s future was cut short in a devastating dam accident.

Collins and his colleague had embarked on an afternoon swimming adventure. However, joy turned into sorrow when the two Form Four students drowned in dam in Teret.

The two students drowned as they swam in the dam.

Njoro Member of Parliament Charity Kathambi who attended the burial, noted that Collins’ absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of his classmates, teachers, and loved ones.

“As Teret High School and Jackline Soi family, relatives and friends mourns the loss of one of brightest stars, may Collins memory be a source of comfort and strength for all who knew and loved him,” stated Kathambi.

The Lawmaker urged constituents to emulate the deceased’s good deeds while he was still alive.
