He has served as Hawkers Leaders Nakuru defending their rights.
However, he now holds a new title, that of Secretary General Wamunyoro Party Nakuru Chapter.
This is none other than Simon Sangale Ole Nasieku.
Well Nasieku is the interim Wamunyoro Party Secretary General in Nakuru.
The announcement was made by former DP Rigathi Gachagua when a delegation from Nakuru visited him in Wamunyoro on Friday May 2, 2025.
Simon Sangale Ole Nasieku now becomes the first official endorsed to run affairs of the upcoming Rigathi Gachagua political party in Nakuru County.
This follows a plea from a 20-person delegation that visited the ex DP at his Wamunyoro home in Nyeri.
Nasieku was mandated on interim basis, to start running Riggy G Nakuru party affairs with immediate effect.
The delegation, representing Nakuru city East and West, was led by Nakuru politician Hezron Manyara, while a close Riggy G ally, Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara graced the afternoon to early evening occasion.
Gachagua, dubbed the people’s President, said there’s need to keep the fire burning in the race to oust President William Samoei Ruto for his failed leadership which has caused immense suffering to Kenyans.
“Nasieku sasa aanza kazi ukisaidiana na Chairman Manyara na (party Cordinator wa Nakuru Dr William Wachira),” said the ex DP to the delight of the delegation which cheered and danced wildly to the announcement.
Riggy G however dissed a plea by the delegates which had requested that Kihara gets an automatic party ticket to defend her Naivasha MP seat, due to her dedication to the Wamunyoro cause.
He said that democracy will be given room to thrive and no one should be given preferences over others.
The ex DP however urged the voters to take note on who are most dedicated to serving the Wamunyoro party relentlessly and reward them accordingly, including Kihara and the party’s Governor candidate Geoffrey Mwangi.
He noted that like himself, Mwangi, an CEO of the NHIF, had suffered greatly yet the defunct health services funding agency had performed better than SHA that was established by Ruto to replace NHIF.
He lauded the delegation, who included journalist and blogger Elijah Kinyanjui Wa Kibara.
Others present were Joseph Kibe-the Chairman of the Nakuru Wakulima Traders Welfare Association, Lawrence Obiya who led the Nakuru west delegation and businessman cum politician Kennedy Kanyi Wangui and bloggers Sadiq Kayana Ntara, Mc Maina Nyaituga, Joseph Sirjoe Mwangi and Stephen Mwanda who represented the Nakuru city bodaboda community.
Speaking after the meeting, Nasieku thanked Gachagua for entrusting him with the position.
“Thank you H.E Rigathi Gachagua the People’s Deputy President for entrusting me with the position of Secretary General Wamunyoro Party NaKURU County. I commit to serve diligently and faithfully alongside other members of the Party!!,” he stated.
