
Kivumbini Ward MCA Neto Sakwa has assured residents that service delivery will not be hindered due to the lack of physical office.
In an official statement on Saturday May 3, 2025, the first time serving MCA responded to concerns raised by a section of residents over missing physical office.
The MCA reminded residents of the early this year’s protest over missing Brian Odhiambo that saw some angry protesters torch and vandalized the office located next to Flamingo Primary School.
Sakwa who was elected in 2022 on independent ticket unseating ODM’s Wilbur Amara, assured residents that the issue of physical office is being handled by the county government of Nakuru.
He called for patient as the process is being finalized.
“The matter is being addressed through a county Government process. For now, I urge Kivumbini Ward residents to be patient as we wait the County Government to finalize the issue,” he stated.
He maintained that despite there being no physical office, service delivery has not in any way been affected, and that everything is running well towards ensuring services to Ward residents.
The MCA used the moment to highlight some of the latest undertakings in the education sector moreso empowerment of youths through skills Training.
“I am also pleased to inform residents that we continue to take serious matters skills development for our youth,” he said.
According to Sakwa, on February 10, 2025 a total 34 youths joined Vera Beauty and Technical College for 8-Months Course.
Another lot of 34 youths from Kivumbini Ward joined Sydney Driving School on April 22, 2025.
The MCA added that next week on May 5, 2025 a lot of 20 youths will be joining Kericho Driving School.
In addition, on May 17, 2025, 33 youths who were registered during public participation at Kivumbini Social Hall for short courses and fully sponsored by Ward Development Fund, will be joining Nakuru Vocational Training for one year course.
On Bursary, the MCA revealed that already issued cheques for Dayschools for a total 867 students in February.
He was however quick to note that those who had applied for Boarding schools, colleges and Universities the cheques will be issued likely in June, 2025 benefiting a total of 914 students.
“This is a clear indication service delivery even in the absence of a physical office. I am up to the task and readily available through a phone call which majority of residents have, incase of any issue that needs my address,” he said.
