Democracy for the Citizens Party(DCP) Nakuru Branch Secretary General Simon Ole Nasieku has told off a section of individuals who are out to mess the party.
Speaking to Press in Nakuru Town on Tuesday, Nasieku who was appointed by Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua as interim Secretary General Nakuru County, claimed a section of individuals are planning to ouster him.
According to Nasieku, the same individuals are the ones causing division and wrangles within DCP Party Nakuru.
Nasieku who comes from Maa Community, lauded Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua for entrusting leadership in him as SG for the new political formation.
He challenged some of the individuals from Mount Kenya Region who are causing wrangles within the party to decist from such as it weakens the Party that is currently putting roots in Nakuru.
According to the vocal Nasieku, his way of doing things and ensuring that there will be credible parry elections does not sink well with some people within the party.
He revealed that some cartels have been out demanding money from Aspirants with empty promises that they will get direct tickets.
“The Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua entrusted me with the leadership as SG even though I’m a Maasai. But some individuals are out to ouster me because I stand for truth. Let aspirants know that there is no direct ticket but the people will decide. Those going against the party guidelines and lying to aspirants that they can have direct tickets should desist,” he stated.
Nasieku has called on Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua to make a visit to Nakuru and help iron out issues.
According to Nasieku, Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua who is currently in USA, upon return will ensure that he makes first stop in Nakuru.
Nasieku at the same time told off those claiming that DCP party Leader Rigathi Gachagua is only focusing on Mount Kenya politics.
The Nakuru DCP SG was categorical that DCP is a national party.
“Our Party Leader has been condemned by some people of being only for Mount Kenya politics. But I can state here categorically that DCP and Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua are national and that is why even in Nakuru I was appointed as SG despite being a minority,” stated Nasieku.
Sentiments echoed by Philip Mwaura from Laikipia.
He pointed out that DCP Nakuru is firm and will ensure officials represent the true picture of the cosmopolitan Nakuru.
