A dawn accident at Salgaa on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on May 25, 2024 has claimed 5 lives and left scores nursing injuries.
The accident, police say happened at around 0330hrs involving motor vehicle Reg No. KDK 561M Toyota Hiace driven by unknown driver.
The vehicle was being driven from Eldoret towards Nakuru direction and upon reaching at the location of the accident he rammed into the rear of a mobile unknown trailer that disappeared soon after the accident.
As a result of the accident Five people died on the spot ; four Female adult and 1 male adult all unknown.
Eight more were escorted to Nakuru County and referral hospital with sustained serious injuries.
Bodies moved at the Nakuru County morgue pending identification and postmortem.
The vehicle was towed to Salgaa police station pending inspection.
