Nakuru-based philanthropist Rani Ramchandani has been feted as philanthropist of the year.
Rani was honoured in the 7th Pacesetters Awards held at a Nairobi Hotel.
Christened ‘Mother Teresa of Nakuru’, Rani Ramchandani has been very active in assisting vulnerable groups such as those abled differently (PWDs).
This she does through her Rani Ramchandani Foundation that focuses on charity works.
In an interview, Rani Ramchandani stated that the journey just commenced.
She urged companies and well wishers to join hands in making the society better for everyone.
During the event, Rani Ramchandani was accompanied by senior Deputy County Commissioner Mr. Werre Simiyu OGW in receiving the award.
Kenyan firms were among the top firms honoured in the 7th Pacesetters International Awards.
The awards is an annual industry leadership recognition program organized by the Pacesetters Awards Organizing Committee in collaboration with Jubilant Stewards of Africa (JSA) and United SMEs Association of Kenya among other partners.
