Pyrethrum Dolphin FC crowned champions of Nakuru East Inter-estates Football Tournament

Pyrethrum Dolphin FC are the 2023 champions of the Nakuru Town East Inter Estates Football Tournament under.

This follows their win of 7 goals against Bondeni FC’s 6 goals in the finals played at Kamukunji grounds in Biashara Ward, Nakuru East.
The two teams both from Bondeni had difficulty in scoring in the first half of the match as at halftime, they were still nil scores.

The second half also ended in a draw of no goals forcing the game to end in penalties where Pyrethrum Dolphin FC overpowered Bondeni.

Pyrethrum Dolphin FC were awarded a trophy and sh500,000 by while Bondeni received sh200,000.
The new champions take over from Pida FC who were in 2022 crowned.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who was the chief guest also awarded Pyrethrum an extra 1million shillings for emerging the champions.
He reiterated the need for nurturing sports talents at grassroot level.
Sentiments that were echoed by Governor Susan Kihika and Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria who is also the patron of the NG-CDF sponsored inter-estates.
The tournament was also attended by Water Cabinet Secretary Zack Njeru, MP Samuel Arama and a host of MCAs led by area MCA Fadhili Msuri.
