PCEA Mikeu Church in Elburgon on Sunday April 14, 2024 marked 35 years since establishment.
Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika was represented at the event by County Executive Committee Member for Education, ICT, E- Government and Public Communication Zipporah Ngugi.
The CEC, while delivering Governor Kihika’s goodwill message and financial support to the Church, took time to highlight development programs initiated by the Governor including the fully funded craft courses for youth in vocational training centers.
Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Joel Karuri, on his part commended the church for it’s significant role in shaping the education system in Kenya.
He called upon religious readers to join hands with the Government in the fight against illicit brew and drug substance to safe future generation.
During the momentous service, sermon was delivered by Rev. Mercy Karano of Molo parish, under the theme being “Committing our plans to the Lord for we shall be Successful in carrying them out.”
The service was also attended by the Elburgon ward MCA Njuguna Mwaura, Turi Ward MCA John Mwangi, Beth Mbuthia- a director from Kenya Dairy Board and representatives from Molo MPs’ office.
