Njoro Member of Parliament Charity Kathambi has hailed Technical Vocational Training Institutions towards empowerment of young people.
The Lawmaker noted that the Institutions have had great impact in the lives of youth through skills training.
She added that the skills are key even in the development agenda of the government.
“The strongest pillar towards any growth of the nation is youth empowerment. Hence, the need to create an empowered generation,” she stated.
The Legislator reiterated her commitment towards ensuring youth empowerment.
According to her, this is a promise that she made during her campaigns.W
“We made a promise that we would ensure that our youths are properly skilled for the present and future demands of the labour market,” she stated.
The second term serving MP added that equipping them with these skills, it is a boost to their employability and on-the-job competence.
She was speaking on Saturday September 20, 2024 when she joined Joined graduates of the Njoro Constituency for a Vera Technical Training Institute Short Courses program sponsored by Njoro NG-CDF funds at Jawathu grounds for their graduation ceremony.
