Farmers in Njoro Constituency have a reason to smile, following the launch of Njoro Cereal Promoters Cooperative Society Ltd.
The event at Njoro Chief’s Camp in Njoro Ward that was officiated by area MP Charity Kathambi marks a significant milestone for farmers in the cosmopolitan constituency.
Kathambi lauded the move terming the the cooperative the first of its kind in Njoro Sub-county.
It aims to promote and enhance cereal farming by educating farmers about cultivating Maize, beans and other cereals marketing and exporting high-quality products.
The Lawmaker assured that her office will continue to support farmers to reap big from their sweat in the farms.
“My office will collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure that our farmers have access to certified high-quality seedlings pivotal in the high-yield production of cereals while supporting all farming activities in the constituency,” she stated.
