Njoro Member of Parliament Charity Kathambi on Wednesday April 4 launched NG-CDF bursary worth Sh 65 million for financial year 2023/2024.
Speaking during the launch held at Njoro Park, the Lawmaker indicated that Day secondary and Boarding secondary school have been allocated sh 26 million.
Meanwhile, Universities, Colleges and TVETS will receive sh 39 million.
According to Kathambi, these bursaries will provide vital financial assistance to deserving students, helping them pursue their academic dreams and reach their full potential.
She added that by investing in education, her administration is investing in the future of Njoro constituency by not only alleviating financial burdens, but also empowering youth to excel academically and become leaders in the community.
” We are investing in our learners through Education,” she said.
In a concerted effort to uphold transparency and accountability, the Njoro NG-CDF office under patronage of Kathambi ensured that the process was thoroughly rigorous, conducted by professional team of locational bursary committee that observed the tenets of transparency and honesty.
The event was also graced by Njoro Sub county Deputy County Commissioner, Njoro Sub county Education Director, Njoro Sub county TSC, Njoro Sub County Security team, clergy, School principals, students among others.
