Pressure is mounting on Jubilee Party Deputy Leader and member of the United Opposition Dr. Fred Matiang’i to come out clear on his stand on goonism.
DCP Nakuru Branch Secretary General Simon Ole Nasieku has raised concerns over the continued silence of Matiang’i two weeks after DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua’s convoy was pelted stones in Nakuru Town West.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Nasieku stated categorically that as a member of the United Opposition, Dr. Matiang’i should come out and condemn the incident that happened in Nakuru Town West where the area MP Samuel Arama was elected on Jubilee Party, a party that Matiang’i is the Deputy Leader.
Nasieku added that the continued silence of Matiang’i on the matter raises eyebrows on whether he is with united opposition or not.
The vocal Nasieku says the stand taken by DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua should be The uniform stand by all leaders within the United Opposition formation.
He says, Matiang’i should call MP Arama to order and ensure sanity in Nakuru Town West where everyone can visit and sell agenda.
“Dr. Fred Matiang’i, respect is a two-way street. If you are indeed part of the United Opposition, you should heed H.E. Rigathi Gachagua’s appeal and call Arama to order. Unity requires discipline, mutual respect, and restraint from all sides. We condemn GOONISM!!,” he stated.
Nasieku’s sentiments come barely a week after Nakuru Town West MP aspirant Robinas Makana also condemned the attack on Gachagua’s convoy in Nakuru Town West.
Makana claimed that the area MP is to blame for the same and that he should be called out.
