In a press release, the Nakuru’s iron lady as she is best known among Nakurians, strongly condemned the ongoing clashes.

“I strongly condemn the ongoing clashes at Tipis Shopping Centre linked to the Mashungwa land dispute. It is deeply concerning to see families living in fear and uncertainty due to the rising tension,” she said.

She at the same time called upon all residents to remain calm, avoid violence, and choose dialogue over confrontation.

“Our communities are stronger when we protect one another and maintain peace,” stated Asumpta.

She at the same time urged the security agencies deployed in the area to carry out their duties with professionalism, restraint, and respect for human life while ensuring law and order is restored.

According to her, the safety and dignity of  people must remain the priority.

“I stand for peace, justice, and a lasting solution that protects every resident and brings unity to our communities,” she said.
