Nakuru Muslim leaders have called for peaceful co-existence both in Kenya and abroad.
Speaking during this year’s Eid-Al- Adha prayers, the Nakuru Muslim leaders reiterated the importance of peace, not only towards 2027 elections, but also abroad.
They prayed that peace may prevail especially in warring Palestine.
Nakuru Muslim Association Chairman Ahmed Nasher in his presser called for peaceful co-existence.
He noted that peace is key component on matters development.
“Without peace, we cannot realize any development. We are praying for peace to prevail no only in Kenya but also in Palestine where we have our brothers and sisters,” he said.
This, even as Muslim faithful attended Eid al-Adha prayers in Nakuru, Kenya, on June 16, 2024.
Known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” Eid al-Adha is one of the most important celebrations in Islam and is marked by the ritual sacrifice of animals such as sheep, goats, cows, or camels, in accordance with Islamic tradition.
The festival commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God’s command before God provided a ram to be sacrificed in his place.
