Nakuru DCP Secretary General Simon Ole Nasieku has hailed the win in Olkalou by-election.
Speaking to famousnakuru.co.ke, Nasieku who camped in Olkalou to ensure DCP wins the seat, said the victory is a clear indicator of what the people want.
He added that the victory is a clear indicator of what to expect come 2027.
The Nakuru DCP SG also lauded the people of Olkalou for turning up in large numbers to vote in the first DCP MP.
The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) candidate Sammy Kamau Ngotho, was declared the winner of the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election after garnering 35,440 votes.
According to the official results announced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Friday morning, Kamau garnered 35,440 votes to defeat United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Samuel Muchina Nyaga, who received 5,450 votes.
Jubilee Party candidate Wilson Kigwa finished third with 198 votes, followed by Stephen Wanyoike Waithaka (NLP) with 103 votes, Timothy Kamau Kariuki (PM) with 51, Edwin Kariiri Muchiri (PNU) with 28, Abdifatah Hussein Abdullahi (FPK) with 19, Edward Mathenge Mwaniki (KMM) with 16, and Rachael Wangui Njoroge (PDP) with 11 votes.
