Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara was on Thursday afternoon arrested at her home.
The reasons for her arrest are still not clear though reliable sources have it that it is in relation to her decision not to honor DCI summons.
The MP had earlier stated via a post that dozens of police officers were at her Maraigucu home to arrest her.
MP Kihara has had challenges since she started aligning with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
DCP Secretary in-charge of economic planning and strategy Dr Peter Mbae confirmed that indeed the Lawmaker had been arrested.
“Hon Jayne Kihara is now on her way to the DCI headquarters in Nairobi. She is in her car, with two DCI officers and her advocates. She is being escorted by 3 subarus and one land cruiser fully loaded,” stated Mbae.
Dr. Mbae added that MP Kihara was arrested in her Naivasha home before she was taken to Naivasha Police station.
