Those operating businesses in Nakuru Town West have been assured of maximum security.
Area MP Samwel Arama has assured the business owners that security of their businesses is a priority.
Arama who spoke on SabaSaba day was categorical that businesses play key role in shaping and growth of economy.
He stated that he will work closely with security team in Nakuru West Subcounty towards the same.
“As leaders we have a role.to.ensure security of our people and property so that economy can continue to thrive. We shall work with the security team including our officers to ensure that,” he stated.
The Legislator also lauded a team of youthful voters who have taken up the initiative to patrol and complement the police officers in ensuring no destruction of property.
He added that this is a clear indicator that Nakuru West residents want to go on with their businesses
“At the moment everyone is hot by the tough economic times and that is why we are saying security of businesses is key towards economy resuscitation,” he stated.
While noting that demonstrations are allowed in Constitution, Arama was categorical that they should be peaceful and that no single business or property should be destroyed.
Famous Nakuru.co.ke has established that though some destruction of property was witnessed in Nakuru East’s Free Area and Barnabas, in Nakuru West things were calm.
